The cycle route Ecopista do Dão », follows the linear path of the former railway "Linha do Dão". For those who want to cycle the almost 50 km of the Ecopista without the uphill return, we prepared the package Descending the Ecopista.

If you like to do a shorter ride, or you don't have time to do the whole trip, then we can bring you to another place along the Ecopista, and cycle 30 km. See our page:

From Viseu to Santa Comba Dão by bicycle.
From Santa Comba Dão to Viseu by our transport.
Minimum 2 persons, maximum 20 persons.

Two options:

• First the transfer: We bring you from Santa Comba Dão (Abelenda Bike Rental) to Viseu. From there, you cycle back to Santa Comba Dão.
  
  
• Transfer afterwards: First you cycle from Viseu to Santa Comba Dão (Abelenda Bike Rental). Afterwards, we bring you back to Viseu.

First the transfer:

Meeting point is Abelenda Bike Rental, located at km 47 of the Ecopista do Dão. You can park your car here, choose a bike and we will bring you to the other end of the Ecopista in Viseu
From there, you cycle the 47 km back on a gently sloped constant descent, making it very easy to bike. Without stops, it is about 3 hours cycling, but most people take around 1 to 2 extra hours due to stops.

Every day of the week (not on wednesdays), on request.
Starting time: 10.00h. We appreciate your presence at 9.30h.

Price:

• 33,50 € - bicycle hire and transfer of customar and bike. Minimum 2 persons.

Transfer afterwards:

Meeting point is the beginning of the Ecopista do Dão in Viseu, at the large parking place between the Ecopista and the Avenida de Europa. We will be there with the bicycles between 10.45h and 11.00h.
From here, you cycle the 47 km to Abelenda Bike Rental (Santa Comba Dão) on a gently sloped constant descent, making it very easy to bike. Without stops, it is about 3 hours cycling, but most people take around 1 to 2 extra hours due to stops.
Afterwards, we bring you back to Viseu.

Starting time: 11.00h. We appreciate your presence at 10.45h.

Price:

• 35,00 € - bicycle hire and transfer back of the customar. Minimum 4 persons.
  
• 20,00 € - bicycle hire but no transfer back of the customar. (the customer arranges his own transport back). Minimum 4 bikes.

Additional information

• All our bikes are equipped with a spare inner tube, tyre levers, a pump and a multi tool. Most standard bicycles have a luggage carrier.
  
  
• We are registered at the RNAAT (Tourism Portugal), under number 61/2022.
  
  
• To guarantee the availability of our bicycles, it’s essential to book in advance.
